You know I do think some of the Saint Seiya characters make an appearance in Slayers Try! There is a scene where three very elderly people appear wearing the steel saints armor. That said it brings into question is Slayers set in the past or is it some post apocalyptic future? Seriously i see out of place technology throughout the entire series, there's even wizards doing genetic engineering with test tubes and electrical devices. The Slayers even hint to a calamity called the War of The Monsters fall which according to their time occurred 1000 years ago, is this in reality world war three, and the events in Slayers take place in the 30th century?
I have noticed this trend more as of late and its not the past its the future! Even Tsubasa Chronicle may be set in the future and not the past!
